The Premise
Antoine Bandele, indie author of the young adult mythology series, TJ Young and the Orisha’s, came up with an idea to bring together a collective of authors to explore multiple types of mythologies and folklore in a connected universe. Think Rick Riordan Presents meets the MCU. In his video here he discusses this briefly.
I was one of the first authors approached to join this collective and my series, Eilean in the Otherworld, will explore the world of Celtic mythology and folklore.
Celtic belief spread across many areas of the United Kingdom from Ireland to Scotland, Wales, and Cornwall. It also covers many different folktales such as King Arthur and Fionn mac Cumhaill.
Why did I choose Celtic mythology? Scottish Father and Cornish Maternal origins is the reason. That and it gives me a great excuse to visit Loch Lomond and claim it as work expenses.
So, join me on my journey of creating the story for modern day Celtic mythology with my main character Eilean MacAlistair and the drama she’ll be getting involved with, coming soon.

With the full rough draft written in November of 2021, the series editor, Callan Brown, has been working hard ever since in providing initial commentary on how to improve the novel.
My aim is to begin my revisions of the story this month and the next with the hope to have it revised by July/August.
Alongside the novel, the prequel short story has been delivered to the Tales from the Otherworlds editor for publication sometime this Summer. I will be sure to update once that has published as it sets up Eilean’s story.
